On my son's first day of life we noticed a dimple in his neck. We didn't learn until two months later that it was a complete hole and so surgery was recommended in order to prevent infection (because that could be serious). Fortunately, we were able to wait until he was 10 months old. (I encourage all parents to wait until their baby is 6-12 months rather than a newborn). Thankfully, the surgery was easy, painless, and successful! You can read about it here:

All Kinds Of Stuff (calling the ENT about the infection)
11.5 Months Old (was prescribed antibiotics for the infection)
Baby's Neck, Mommy's Hair (the infection went away and there's been no issues since this post - by 6 months post surgery the scar was hardly noticeable!)
Only Two Months Until Two! (His scar one year later)
BOR Syndrome (Possibly the gene that could have caused Logan's brachial cleft)
